"This administration is trying to do something that ought to be politically impossible to do in a democracy, and that is to govern against the will of the majority. That requires twisted facts, silence, secrecy, and very poor lighting. That's why you need night-vision goggles to see what's going on over there."—General Wesley Clark, US Army (Ret.)

Does Bush Believe God Talks to Him?

"According to [Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud] Abbas, immediately thereafter Bush said: 'God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them.'" There have been previous accounts claiming that Bush is religiously delusional. Would God really pick as his messenger the grandson of a Nazi Financier, who profited from Auschwitz slave labor? Would God pick the scion of a CIA-Gangster family, whose patriarch had armed Hussein AND Iran during the Iran-Iraq War -- to strike at Hussein's Iraq? Would God pick Bush, whose parents have been paid up to $10 million by Reverend Moon, the cult leader who claims he has replaced Jesus Christ as the savior?
